Artist Statement
二度と再び同じ事が起こらない。これが私達の生きているこの世の決まり事である。世界は常に、無限に姿を変える。冬の日本海へ出かけた。激しく荒くれる波を見飽きる事はなかった。何時間も足を針付けにされ、心が揺さぶられ、体も震えた。日が暮れても写真を撮り続けた。ここにも命の大元、Materiaを見た。
That it never happen again. This is the hope of all of us living in this realm. The world is always, infinitely, changing form. I set out for the Sea of Japan in winter, and never tired of watching the crashing, swirling waves. Riveted to the spot for hours on end, I sensed my soul tremble, my body quiver. Even after sunset I continued to shoot. Here too, I saw Materia, the foundation of all life.
