五月の日曜日。 ペペロンチーノを食べたくなったので、駅前通りのスーパーで材料を買ってきた。 買ってきたものを食卓の上にひろげて、水を張った鍋を火にかける。
「これ、私のおなかみたいだね。」 にんにくを手に取った妻がつぶやいた。
エプロンをかけて白い皮をむきながら、もうすぐ家族がふえるんだなと思った。
A Sunday in May. Craving a bowl of spaghetti aglio e olio, I went to the supermarket on Ekimaedori to buy the ingredients. I laid the things I bought out on the table, and put a pot of water up to boil.
“ This looks just like my belly! ” my wife exclaimed, picking up the garlic.
I donned an apron, and peeling the garlic, rehearsed the thought that our family would soon have another member.
biography
Kazuhiro Kitahara
Born 1976 in Hyogo Prefecture. Graduated in photography from Visual Arts College Osaka. Launched his career as an independent photographer after working as assistant to Yoshihiko Ueda.
